The new giclée-on-canvas printing medium has made it possible to produce a stunning reproduction of the original oil painting of “Balboa Rendezvous, 1944.” An extremely close copy of the original oil painting is achieved by this process, so close it is often difficult to distinguish between the two.  Each giclée is printed on acid-free artist’s portrait canvas using archival pigments.  Five coats of ultra-violet light protecting solution are sprayed onto its surface. After stretching each giclée over painting canvas stretchers, I enhance it with oil paints and two coats of Damar varnish, then sign and number each giclée to make it a unique art work.
